Another game finishes its life cycle? State Of Decay 2 will no longer receive support!

After 6 years of hard work on State Of Decay: 2, Undead Labs is now focusing all its efforts on State Of Decay 3. This means that, unfortunately, the lifespan of its predecessor is coming to an end!

The survival-focused game in the zombie world has been very successful since its first game, and now the developer is fully focused on the next project, announcing the final update of the game, which should arrive by the end of the year.

The game did not have a good reception, many bad reviews were given to the game, but, as is customary in the industry, after the game's development, Undead Labs can take better care of the game, fixing problems, improving mechanics, and adding more content to the game that lasted 6 years. The efforts are now focused on the sequel, which if well treated, will be as great as before!

“Our ambition is to make the best zombie survival simulator in the franchise, and for that, we have shifted our focus and resources to make the next third installment, State of Decay 3,” says Undead Labs in a statement. “You can expect a final content update for State of Decay 2 coming at the end of this year. This final update, Update 38, aims to address some long-standing issues, implement additional quality of life improvements, and permanently unlock seasonal or previously locked content, such as winter outfits and the Wizard Van.”

However, if you are attached to the game, it will not be unavailable, as the servers will remain online after Update 38. It was also said that saved games and communities will not undergo changes and will continue to exist, and even without bug fixes or improvements, the game's Bounty Broker will continue to circulate!

State Of Decay 3 still does not have a release date and this may take a little longer. The game was revealed in 2020 and so far we haven't had many updates, just a few trailers.
