An Annapurna Interactive, known publisher for its catalog of acclaimed titles like Stray and Outer Wilds, revealed three new projects during its digital presentation this Wednesday, September 24th. The games, covering diverse genres and promising original experiences, will be playable to the public at Tokyo Game Show 2025. However, console and PC players will have to exercise patience, as all releases are only scheduled for 2026.

The fact that the three titles — D-topia, People of Note, and Demi and the Fractured Dream — are scheduled for a 2026 release means that players will not have access to them soon. Although the date is common for projects still in development, the news of an announcement that will take more than a year to materialize can generate prolonged anticipation. However, Annapurna is offering the chance to experience the new features during the Tokyo Game Show, an opportunity for fair participants to test the games first-hand.

The first title, D-topia, is a puzzle-adventure by Marumittu Games. In the game, the player takes on the role of a "Facilitator" responsible for a futuristic community managed by an artificial intelligence. The narrative delves into the secrets that challenge the idea of a perfect society while the player solves puzzles. The second, People of Note, by Iridium Studios, is a turn-based combat RPG with a musical proposal. Battles are transformed into choreographed performances, creating an interactive experience that promises to be unique.

The third announcement, Demi and the Fractured Dream, by Yarn Owl, is a tribute to action and adventure classics. The game follows Demi, an entity seeking to escape a cursed fate. Gameplay mixes elements of hack and slash combat, exploration, and platforming, combined with environmental puzzles. The investment in these projects reflects the philosophy of Annapurna Interactive in supporting creators who "expand the boundaries of interactive narrative," as Leanne Loombe, Head of Games at the publisher, highlighted:

"From the wonderful puzzle D-topia, to the innovative musical RPG People of Note and the nostalgic Demi and the Fractured Dream, we believe these projects show exactly the creative strength we seek to value."

Annapurna Interactive will have a significant presence at the Tokyo Game Show, taking place from September 25th to 28th, 2025 at Makuhari Messe, in Chiba. At the booth, visitors will be able to experience the three new games, as well as well-known titles like LEGO Voyagers, Stray, and Outer Wilds. All new games are scheduled for release in 2026 on PC (Steam and Epic), Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S/Windows.

The new announcements from Annapurna Interactive reinforce its position as one of the most creative publishers in the indie market. Although the long wait for 2026 is a point of attention, the proposals of D-topia, People of Note, and Demi and the Fractured Dream demonstrate a commitment to original narratives and mechanics.
