Turn 10, the developer of Forza Motorsport, has announced that all upcoming tracks in the game will be available for free to all players. This marks a significant departure from previous titles in the franchise, where new content was traditionally released as paid DLCs, including cars, tracks, and cosmetic items.
Turn 10's approach for Forza Motorsport will be different, with the addition of new cars and tracks in a way that makes sense within the game's Career Mode. This means that new content will be seamlessly integrated into the existing gaming experience to feel natural and not added separately.
Chris Esaki, creative director at Turn 10, explained this approach in an interview, stating that the team will utilize agile technology to add cars and tracks in a way that seamlessly fits into the player's experience. This will involve creating new Career Mode events and entirely new events that incorporate the new content.
Furthermore, Turn 10 aims to not divide the Forza Motorsport community, especially in multiplayer mode. Therefore, all tracks in the game will be made available for free to all players in the foreseeable future, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the same content.
Forza Motorsport is set to release on October 10 for PC and Xbox Series S/X, with a Premium version offering five days of early access.
