Alan Wake II - synopsis of its expansions, Night Springs and The Lake House, revealed

Alan Wake II has barely been released, and its previously announced expansions, Night Springs and The Lakehouse, have received details in their synopses.

Remedy has confirmed that the first expansion, Night Springs, is scheduled to be released in "late spring 2024," although this timeframe may be subject to change. The expansion The Lakehouse does not yet have a release date.

The official synopses of the expansion storylines are as follows:

In Night Springs, players will have the opportunity to take on the roles of "various familiar characters" as they participate in "self-contained" episodes of the game's fictional TV show Night Springs.

In The Lake House, players will be transported to a "mysterious facility" on the shores of Cauldron Lake, where "secret research" is being conducted, but something goes terribly wrong.

Both expansions can be acquired by purchasing the Alan Wake II Expansion Pass through the Deluxe Edition. The availability of the expansions individually has not been confirmed.

Alan Wake II, in addition to the expansions, will also add a New Game+ mode post-launch and a photo mode, providing more ways to enjoy the supernatural narrative.
