The Simpsons: Tapped Out is a game made by EA Games for mobile, where you manage the great city of Springfield, famous for the yellow family animation series. The game attracted a lot of attention and was successful when it was launched, but over time it lost its players, now, 12 years after the game's release, EA Games decided to shut down the game servers!

The good news is that if you download it now, you will be able to play it until the end of the year, however, the game already has a date to leave the app stores, on October 31 and its servers will only be shut down on January 24 of next year.

"The decision to end our twelve-year journey is emotional," EA wrote in its Facebook post today. "Together with our partners at The Simpsons™ and The Walt Disney Company, we have been pleased to bring this game to you, fans, and see how each of you built your own beloved versions of Springfield. It has been a remarkable journey, and we are grateful to have been able to deliver 308 updates, 831 characters and, including today's final farewell, 1,463 mission lines."

The game was very successful, however, EA Games managed to complicate things by adding freemium features, which caused the game's decline, both among fans and critics. However, it is still sad to see the game go away, so long after it was so successful. Unfortunately, this will be the fate of many games we know, like The Crew 2014, which had its servers shut down, rendering game copies useless.

Anyway, the Tokyo Game Show 2024 is happening, and you can check out the summary of the Xbox broadcast that took place earlier today!
