Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Easter Egg Showcases Nintendo's Eye For Detail

Oh boy, new discoveries in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild just keep coming. This time, however, rather than a player-created glitch or trick, a YouTuber has discovered a lovely little detail from Nintendo itself nestled in a cutscene towards the end of the game (spoilers, we guess?).

During Link's adventure in Hyrule, he visits various areas of the land and uncovers select memories of his time during the Great Calamity, thus setting himself up for the final confrontation with Calamity Ganon. Once Link has acquired the optional memories, Impa will point the way to the final memory, located at Ash Swamp just south of Kakariko Bridge.

Impa will show Link a picture of the location that's hung on her wall in Kakariko Village. If your memory is a tad hazy, like ours, then you may wish to take a photo of the image with the Sheikah Slate, allowing you to refer back to it as you try and locate the correct location.

As discovered by YouTuber Bigotilyou, however, the cutscene that plays out once you discover the final memory will differ slightly depending on whether or not you took a photo of Impa's picture. If you did, then the game will recognise this and have Link break out the Sheikah Slate and view the photo before recalling the memory. If not, then he'll simply gaze around like a child at Disney Land before the penny drops.
