Xbox Games Showcase Announces New Games and Starfield Direct Live Streaming

The long-awaited reveal date for future Xbox games has been announced.

Microsoft is scheduling its annual Xbox Games Showcase for Sunday, June 11th, with the promise of "new surprises and first looks" at games from Xbox Game Studios and its third-party partners. The presentation will be followed by Bethesda's Starfield Direct livestream, which will offer "new gameplay, developer interviews, and behind-the-scenes insider information" on the Starfield game in development.

The Xbox Games Showcase will begin at 1am EST/10am PST and will stream on Xbox channels on YouTube, Twitch and Facebook, according to Microsoft in a post on Xbox Wire.

Among the games that will be featured in this issue of Xbox Game Studios are:
  • Forza Motorsport from Turn 10 Studios (Slated for release later this year)
  • Perfect Dark by The Initiative,
  • Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 by Ninja Theory
  • Fable by Playground Games,
  • Rare's Everwild
  • Avowed and The Outer Worlds 2 by Obsidian Entertainment.

Bethesda Game Studios has also announced that it is developing a new Elder Scrolls game, while Wolfenstein maker MachineGames is working on an Indiana Jones game.

Starfield will be released on September 6th.

Originally, the Xbox Games Showcase was scheduled to be the first in a series of digital events planned for E3 2023, which were canceled in April.
