Ubisoft's Troubled Skull & Bones May Finally Release in the Next 10 Months

Along with Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.
Over five years since its official reveal, Skull & Bones could finally be reaching the end of the production line as Ubisoft says it'll be out before 31st March 2023. The game has been tipped to release within the French firm's next fiscal year along with Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, as detailed in its latest earnings call. So, unless Ubisoft's release pipeline changes, that gives the company roughly 10 months to launch the title.
The quote reads: "For 2022-23 we look to return to significant topline growth. It will be mostly driven by a diverse line-up of premium games, including Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope and Skull & Bones, as well as other exciting titles. This growth will also benefit from our free-to-play releases, especially those based on our biggest IPs."
Common sense would then suggest Ubisoft has some pretty extensive plans to reintroduce the game to audiences — perhaps during a Ubisoft Forward livestream this summer. After all, it was recently rumoured the publisher is planning a huge digital showcase containing up to 20 updates on known and unannounced Ubisoft games. Skull & Bones hasn't been seen officially since E3 2018, so the company has a lot of ground to make up. It's not even been confirmed for PlayStation 5 yet, such has been the wait combined with the silence out of Ubisoft Singapore.
