Two new games set in the Dead by Daylight universe are in development
Behaviour Interactive has revealed that Supermassive Games, the developer of Until Dawn and The Dark Pictures Anthology franchise, is working on a new horror game set in the same universe as Dead by Daylight. The title will bear the developer's signature, offering a narrative-focused experience with choices that will change the course of the story.
Meanwhile, a multiplayer game, also set in the Dead by Daylight universe, is being developed by Midwinter Entertainment, a subsidiary of Behaviour Interactive. The game is still in the early stages of development.
Dead by Daylight becoming a movie
In addition to the two new games, a film adaptation of Dead by Daylight has been in the works since March, in a partnership between Atomic Monster and Blumhouse with Behaviour Interactive.
So far, it is known that James Wan, Jason Blum, and Stephen Mulrooney are involved in the project as producers of the film. Remi Racine (Behaviour Interactive), Michael Clear and Judson Scott (Atomic Monster), Ryan Turek (Blumhouse), and Russell Binder (Striker Entertainment) serve as executive producers.
At the time, Mulrooney, the Executive Vice President of Behaviour, expressed excitement about working with Wan and Blum.
About the game:
"We couldn't be more excited to work with Jason Blum and James Wan, two giants of the horror film industry, to expand the Dead by Daylight universe. At Behaviour, our goal is to create unique moments together, forever. Atomic Monster and Blumhouse are the ideal partners for the game's killer entry onto the big screen."
Dead by Daylight is available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
"Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer horror game (4x1) in which one player takes on the role of the Killer while the other four play as Survivors, trying to escape the Killer and avoid being caught, tortured, and killed."
