The return of the jewels? Daedalic Studio is working on another Middle-Earth game
According to the German website Games Wirtschaft, the studio Daedalic Entertainment is already starting to work on its next project involving the universe created by J. R. R. Tolkien, despite the very negative response involving The Lord of the Rings: Gollum and its terrible performance on PCs and consoles.
Also according to the site, the German government has invested more than 2 million euros in the project as a whole, but this does not mean that all this money was used for the Sméagol game, which may mean that the next game can present a higher quality.
The supposed game would have been in development since June 2022, with an expected release date of August 2024, which may indicate that the studio will not try to make improvements to the latest project.
It doesn't hurt to remember, but it is healthy to treat the news as speculation, since Daedalic Entertainment has not commented on a possible new title involving Middle Earth.
