The engineer behind Robotizar Games is about to release Energy Survivors | Mundo Indie

This week in the Indie World, we had the pleasure of getting to know another developer and their story, Matheus Nascimento, an engineer hailing from Divinópolis, Minas Gerais, who has always dreamed of creating games. To pursue this dream, he founded his own game development studio, Robotizar Games.

Over the last three years, balancing his day job and game development, Matheus has already created around eight titles in his portfolio, including Mini Gardens, Dog's Donuts, and the Wordland series.

Meticulous in every choice of theme or gameplay aspect, one can see a passionate gamer in his work, showing his commitment to quality and the importance of synergy between a game's theme, visual effects, and sound. He seeks out specialists to create high-quality music and graphics for his games, even though he works alone.

Today, the engineer dreams of one day working exclusively on game development and delights in reading feedback from his audience on Steam or watching gameplay videos of his games on YouTube.

His latest project, Energy Survivors, is a third-person roguelite shooter game inspired by games like Risk of Rain, Vampire Survivors, and Soulstone Survivors. With its distinct personality, incredible graphics, and frenzied gameplay, Energy Survivors puts players in a post-apocalyptic world where they must steal energy from the planet to survive.

The game features futuristic graphics reminiscent of the 3D art in Soulstone Survivors. It has a backstory, but Matheus plans to wait and see how the game performs in Early Access before revealing it.

Energy Survivors is scheduled to be released this month in Early Access, with no specific date yet, but it is already available on Steam's wish list, so players can support Matheus by adding it to their list. The developer also plans to release the game on other platforms, such as the Nintendo Switch, but needs to evaluate its performance before making any decisions.
