Surprise Vampyr Patch Bites Back with Boosted PS5 Performance
Now running at 60 frames-per-second.
DONTNOD’s likeable gothic escapade Vampyr has received a surprise PlayStation 5 patch which improves the game’s performance on Sony’s new-gen system. Available to download now, the update bumps the release’s framerate to 60 frames-per-second and boosts its resolution to 1440p, improving both performance and fidelity.
If you’re still on a PS4 Pro, then you’ll benefit from the resolution increase to 1440p as well, although you’ll be restricted to 30 frames-per-second. While you may be forgiven for not feeling in the mood for a game about a pandemic, we recommended Vampyr in our review, describing it as an “intriguing, bloodthirsty RPG”.
There’s more good news if you don’t already own the title: it’s currently discounted in the latest PS Store sale to £8.74/$9.99. Has this tempted you to give the title another try?
