Strategy RPG The Valiant Gets a Grimdark New Gameplay Trailer

Back off, knaves!

The Valiant is a real-time strategy game set during the turbulent days of the Fifth Crusade, in which you command a group of former crusaders hell-bent on recapturing a renegade knight, a journey that will take them across the known world. While it doesn't as yet have a firm release date, The Valiant is "Coming Soon" to both PS5 and PS4.


A new trailer focusing on gameplay was shown off during the THQ Nordic Showcase, in which we get to see some of the medieval tactics players will be able to employ themselves. Each unit is led by a named character, and over the course of the campaign, these characters will level up and learn new abilities, adding an RPG element to the game.


The Valiant will also support multiplayer, with both cooperative and competitive gameplay options. Co-op will see players sharing commands as they see off escalating waves of AI-controlled enemies. Online multiplayer will feature several different game modes, from zone control to more traditional deathmatches.
