The video impresses with its realism

Senua's Saga: Hellblade II got a demo this Wednesday (22) at the State of Unreal event at Game Developers Conference 2023 (GDC) to showcase the power of Unreal Engine 5.

The video for Ninja Theory's game lasts just over a minute and features the character Senua just behind actress Melina Juergens, who is the performance capture artist behind the protagonist. What's most impressive is how the entire video looks real, not the capture of a game.

"We push the boundaries of real-time facial animation in Senua's Saga: Hellblade II, as demonstrated at GDC 2023 with Unreal Engine," the video description reads.

Hellblade II promises to bring even better graphics and an immersive sound experience, surpassing the first game. Combat is also expected to receive several changes and improvements.

Senua's Saga: Hellblade II will be released for Xbox Series X|S and PC, but does not yet have a release date. It's worth noting that it will launch directly on Xbox Game Pass, where the first game in the saga is also available.
