Fans of Roller Champions can register for the closed beta on Ubisoft's website now in select European regions.

After being quiet for quite some time, Ubisoft revealed that registration for the Roller Champions closed beta is now open in select European countries via the game’s official Twitter page.

The closed beta promises to feature new moves, new gear, custom matches, 2v2 and ranked modes, cross play between PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC and much more. The beta marks the first time the game will be playable on consoles. Subscribers of Ubisoft Connect on PC and Ubisoft+ can also join right in on the roller skating mayhem.

The Roller Champions developers also released a development update video where they revealed a new in-game social hub called “The Skatepark.” Product Manager Stéphane Drapeau described the area as “a persistent location in which you can jump in and out at any given time.” The area will allow you to roll around with other players, learn new tricks and take part in timed-limited mini games that can award you with in-game fans.

Day one of the beta will make quick match, custom match and the Skatepark available to all players while ranked mode will become available on day two. To access ranked mode, players will have to participate in 10 placement matches to receive their rank and then they can progress to Champions League from there. More surprises have been promised by the developers, suggesting limited time game-modes will become available as the beta goes on.

Although Roller Champions currently does not have an official release date, it was revealed in September 2020 that the developers are targeting an early 2021 launch. The game was officially revealed at E3 2019 and made a Closed Alpha available to PC players in March 2020.
