Respawn Entertainment opened a third development studio to work on the Apex Legends game. The studio, located in Madison, Wisconsin, will be led by Ryan Burnett, who previously worked at Epic Games and Raven Software.

Burnett stated that the new branch will work collaboratively with existing branches in Los Angeles and Vancouver to produce a new season of the battle royale game every 90 days. Apex Legends director Steven Ferreira explained that the new team will bring new perspectives and ideas to the game, as well as bolster production capacity to experiment with new areas, such as the introduction of new Legend classes.

The final season of Apex Legends, called Revelry, launched in February with the introduction of "remastered" Legend classes and new game modes. Ferreira highlighted that the health of the team is a priority for the company, as they believe that the Apex franchise will be a long-term success.

Respawn is committed to making the game evolve and last for years to come, so it's important not to overwhelm the team and prepare them for the future.
