Red Dead Redemption 2 Has Sold 50 Million Copies, But We Still Can't Get a PS5 Patch

Together we ride.

Publisher Take-Two has just posted its quarterly financials, and would you believe it, Red Dead Redemption 2 is still selling. The open world title is over four years old now, and while it doesn't quite compare to the frankly obscene sales numbers of Grand Theft Auto V, it recently managed to break through a ridiculous 50 million copies sold. It goes without saying, but that's a figure most games could barely even dream of reaching.

It's a number that puts Red Dead Redemption 2 up there amongst some of the best-selling video games of all time — but it's still not enough to warrant a PS5 update, apparently. Indeed, fans have been requesting a current-gen patch for ages, but here we are in 2023 and the PS4 title is still capped at 30 frames-per-second. It's a real shame when you consider the sheer popularity of the release.

Would you play Red Dead Redemption 2 again on PS5?
