PS5, PS4 Architect Mark Cerny Is a Big Deathloop Fan
Genius hardware designer by day, incredibly capable gamer by night — that's Mark Cerny. The PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 architect's gaming triumphs have been well documented up until this point, and his appetite for Trophy hunting seems insatiable. He's earned Platinum Trophies in Demon's Souls, Returnal, and Cuphead — three of the toughest titles on PlayStation — and now he's added Deathloop to the list.
Obviously Deathloop isn't quite as difficult as those other games we just mentioned, but Cerny clearly enjoyed Arkane's super-powered shooter a heck of a lot. On Twitter, he wrote: "So original… and so STYLISH, really deserved its Best Game Direction award at the TGAs. Thank you Arkane!"

Indeed, Deathloop won a couple of awards at The Game Awards 2021 — namely Best Game Direction and Best Art Direction. When it first released back in September, many critics went gaga for the PS5 exclusive, but it didn't actually win that many Game of the Year awards. Still, that's not going to sway Cerny, who's happy to call himself a fan.
