Nintendo Announces New Splatoon And Smash Bros. Tournaments For The US And UK
With great prizes to be won!
Over the past few days, Nintendo's been super busy announcing a number of different tournaments set to take place for Splatoon 2 and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fans. The best part? There are some great prizes to be won.
We'll start with the US tournaments, where both Smash and Splatoon are being treated to new events:
NintendoVS US Fall Open 2021 - Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Split across two weekends in October, this event will see up to 16 Smash players win "sweet prize packages". Registrations are open here.

NintendoVS US Challenge Cup Fall 2021 - Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Also split across two weekends, but this time in November, this tournament has a grand prize trophy, themed jacket, backpack, and more up for grabs. You can take part by selecting Online > Smash > Official Tourney Qualifiers in-game on either of the two dates between 3pm and 6pm PT, and full rules can be found here.

Splatoon 2 Fresh Four Championship 2021
Only teased at this point, the Fresh Four Championship 2021 will feature four of the top teams from the Splatoon 2 Splatter Ladder 2021 event. It'll all take place this fall, with more details to come.

Splatoon 2 Inkfest UK Tournament 2021
This new series is taking place across 12 weeks between Saturday 25th September and Saturday 11th December 2021. The tournament features a cup-style format to be hosted every three weeks; each Cup consists of Open Ladder tournaments taking place on each weekend of the first two weeks, where teams can play as many times as they wish to boost their rankings for a chance to qualify for the Cup final.
The first weekend of the first Cup has already been and gone, but registrations are still open here if you want to take part in future matches – and yes, there are prizes to be won!
The Pink Cup has already begun, but there's plenty more action to enjoy...
