MultiVersus Cinematic Trailer Introduces Taz, Velma, and The Iron Giant

Say what you want about MultiVersus — so far, its character roster is wild. The free-to-play platform fighter looks to be copying Super Smash Bros. in many ways, but you can't knock this selection of combatants. We already know the likes of Batman, Superman, Shaggy, Tom & Jerry, Bugs Bunny, and Arya Stark, and with today's new CG trailer, a few more fighters join the battle.

The Tasmanian Devil, or Taz, adds another face from the Looney Tunes, and features pretty prominently in the video. Also shown for the first time are The Iron Giant and Velma, though they don't get quite as much spotlight. It's a pretty nice trailer that gets the idea across, and the voice work is pretty decent too.

A closed alpha test is set to start later this week, with sign-ups now being taken on the game's website. Additionally, an open beta test will take place in July, so don't worry too much if you miss out on this earlier look.
