Move Over, Edgerunners! Cyberpunk 2077 is Getting An Official Tie-In Novel
All the coolest kids are reading nowadays.
CD Projekt Red has always leaned into the edginess and bleeding-cool aesthetic of CyberPunk 2077, something that the recently released (and really good) Edgerunners anime on Netflix embraced with open arms.
Well, now the developer has announced that an official tie-in novel is coming, which might be the edgiest, coolest thing the series has attempted yet. It's called No Coincidence, is being written by Rafał Kosik, and will follow a group of strangers as they brave the mean streets of Night City. Details are pretty scarce outside of that, although we did get a cover reveal.
The new novel, "Cyberpunk 2077: No Coincidence, " is coming to bookstores in August 2023.

Video game tie-in novels are generally a mixed bag, and that's putting things mildly. We will reserve judgement until we get our hands on the thing, but outside of Bioshock: Rapture (which serves as a prequel to Bioshock and is actually pretty decent), most really fail to impress.
What do you think of CDPR's foray into the world of literary delights?
