Mortal Kombat 1 will grant two fatalities for those who purchased the Halloween-themed fatality
Warner Bros. Games and NetherRealm Studios have decided that players who purchased the Halloween-themed fatality in Mortal Kombat 1, which controversially cost $10 (around R$ 50), will receive two additional seasonal fatalities.
The creators of the game faced strong criticism for selling the fatality at a relatively high cost and will now release the Seasonal Fatalities pack next week, including the Halloween fatality, one for Thanksgiving, and another for winter. The pack's price hasn't been announced yet, but those who bought the controversial fatality will receive the two new ones.
Next week, you can access the Seasonal Fatalities bundle, which includes the Halloween, Thanksgiving, and upcoming Winter fatality.— Mortal Kombat 1 (@MortalKombat) November 9, 2023
Those who purchased the Halloween fatality will have access to the bundle at no extra cost.
We appreciate your feedback on all everything #MK1.
Nevertheless, the system of selling fatalities is heavily contested by players, especially considering that Dragon Crystals (a kind of in-game currency) often need to be purchased by players, enabling them to buy content in the game.
Mortal Kombat 1 is available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
