They say that time can heal anything, even performance and gaming performance. Proof of this is what has been happening with Gotham Knights, released in October 2022. According to a Digital Foundry report, the experience with the “Batman game without Batman” has improved considerably.
Speaking specifically of the Playstation 5 version, the game finally reaches 30 FPS, without any rate drop, as often happened. Even roaming the game's open world is more enjoyable, even if the player uses the Batcycle vehicle.
Regarding the Xbox Series S|X versions, the same 30 FPS is also brilliantly achieved, but still has a small rate drop in animations, but almost nothing when compared to how it was before the updates and graphical improvements.
Despite several improvements in the Playstation 5 and Xbox Series S|X versions, Digital Foundry reinforces that the game still needs some performance improvements, but compared to the original state, it is worth returning to Gotham City, solving the city's crimes and defeat the Court of Owls.
