Polyphony Digital has announced that the online servers for the racing game Gran Turismo Sport on PlayStation 4 will be permanently shut down on January 31, 2024.
As a result, many of the game's online features such as Community, Open Lobby, Sport Mode, custom animations, and other online elements will cease to function after this date.
Furthermore, starting from December 1, 2023, the distribution of additional items from the PlayStation Store for the game will be discontinued, although those who already possess these items will still be able to access them after the server shutdown.
Therefore, fans of Gran Turismo Sport wishing to make the most of the game's online features and acquire additional content should do so before the mentioned dates. The offline portion of the game will continue to function normally after the online server shutdown.
