Genshin Impact Xiao Character Demo Trailer is Here to Help You Pull The Gacha
miHoYo published the character demo trailer for Xiao, the new character coming in Genshin Impact Version 1.3, All That Glitters. As always, this is a cinematic trailer, aimed at purely promoting the character. This is not a gameplay and abilities breakdown video. However, it does include some tidbits of lore sprinkled in. Most notably how Xiao could end up loosing himself like his past Yaksha comrades.
As for whether to pull for Xiao or not. Long story short, if you really need a Polearm character and an Anemo character, Xiao is definitely a great choice. Especially for players who started Genshin late, who might have missed Zhongli. And can still easily stock up a lot of Primogems. By playing through all the content so far.
Anemo characters can be tricky to use in Genshin Impact however. You need to have a good understanding of the game’s various Elemental Reactions. At the end of the day, if you like how Xiao looks and wants to marry him that’s definitely good enough reason to pull. If you need more arguments, be sure to check our analysis of the Xiao gacha banner.
Xiao in Japanese is voiced by Yoshitsugu Matsuoka who most notably voices Kirito in Sword Art Online. In the English dub, Xiao is voiced by Laila Berzins, who also voices a SAO character, Fanatio in the Alicization arc.
The best way to know whether to pull Xiao or not will be to try him out with the Test Run, after the Version 1.3 maintenance ends. Genshin Impact Version 1.3, All That Glitters, is launching in a few hours now. The Xiao Collected Miscellany video, which will thoroughly break down his gameplay, should be released after maintenance ends as well.
miHoYo previously detailed all the events for All That Glitters, most notably the Lantern Festival. Zhongli and every Geo character will receive several buffs with Version 1.3. miHoYo also teased a new world quest related to Dainsleif.
Genshin Impact is available on PC, PS4, PS5, and Mobile, with a Switch version coming soon.
