Galarian Ponyta is joining Pokémon Go soon
The Pokémon Go Twitter account is showing off Galarian Ponyta ahead of its release.
The Twitter account stated that Professor Willow spotted a “beautiful, colorful Pokémon that he’d never seen before.” The tweet thread continues with some pictures that Professor Willow “took” of the Pokémon.
It is clearly Galarian Ponyta hiding among the trees, a sight that is similar to how it was first revealed before Pokémon Sword and Shield came out.

Niantic has yet to announce when Galarian Ponyta will be showing up in-game, but we can likely expect it soon, perhaps paired with an event. Galarian Farfetch’d was added in Pokémon Go alongside the release of the Pokémon Sword and Shield Isle of Armor DLC, so Ponyta should be coming soon, as the Crown Tundra DLC will release on Thursday. We can only hope that Galarian Ponyta will be accessible in the wild, rather than from raids and the loot box-like Eggs. (I want that rainbow unicorn, dangit.)
