Far Cry 6 Delayed Past April 2021
Avatar, Rainbow Six: Quarantine also pushed back
As part of its second-quarter earnings call earlier today, Ubisoft delayed a number of its upcoming PlayStation 5 titles due to the continued impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Far Cry 6, originally scheduled to launch in February 2021, will now release between April and September of next year. The same goes for Rainbow Six: Quarantine, which has never had a firm release date up until now outside of a vague launch window.
Meanwhile, the Avatar game in development at Massive Entertainment has been delayed to the French publisher's next fiscal year, starting April 2022. Work on Skull & Bones is said to be "progressing very well", says chief financial officer Frédérick Duguet. It too is currently scheduled for release by the end of September 2021.
