Elden Ring Is Still in Development, Don’t You Worry
That's it really, it's still being made.
There was a huge wave of excitement over the weekend on social media after FromSoftware tweeted about Elden Ring. The thing is, the tweet wasn’t really newsworthy, but the attention it garnered was enough to become newsworthy. I suppose it also counts as confirmation that the upcoming game is still being developed at least.
The studio tweeted about the free update that finally launched for Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice while also recalling that it had been a year since the game first released. The follow-up tweet stated, “We are currently developing an action RPG,” talking about Elden Ring, and said, “We hope you can look forward to it as well”.

Well, it still got the online world in a stir of excitement because the game hasn’t been abandoned for whatever reason. Although excitement comes from the studio being notoriously quiet over its progress.
For those unaware, the game is being developed by FromSoftware with Hidetaka Miyazaki directing it. It is said to have been in development since Dark Souls 3 DLC was launched, so roughly around 2017. It’ll have a focus on RPG and a story with George R.R. Martin behind it. Elden Ring will also feature third-person combat similar to the Dark Souls games as well as similar storytelling.
