Fans looking for a way to get into the popular shonen franchise Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba are in luck. The digital download of Vol. 1 of the manga is now free to download for a limited time, a post from VIZ Media shared.

The Demon Slayer hype is at all time high at the moment. The first full-length feature film, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train, had the biggest US foreign-language box office debut ever. The movie was even more popular in Japan, where it became the highest grossing Japanese film of all time and broke the record previously set by Hayao Miyazaki’s Spirited Away. (And that was before it came stateside.) Western fans going to watch the movie are even creating novel pre-show rituals.

Now those hooked on the anime and movie have a chance to experience new aspects of the story. The manga and anime follow Tanjiro Kamado, a young boy who seeks to rid his sister of a demon curse. The first volume covers roughly the first three episodes of the anime which follow the start of Kamado’s journey, the subsequent devastation of his family, and the start of his training to become a a member of the Demon Slayer Corps.

If you’re completely new to Demon Slayer and want the opposite experience of reading the manga in an abridged version, Funimation prepped a three-episode recap in anticipation of the movie.

The post did not say how long the download will be available. Currently, you can get it for free on ComiXology, Google Play, iBooks, Kindle, and Nook.
