DC's Black Adam, Gremlins' Stripe Coming to MultiVersus in Season 1 on PS5, PS4

We already know that Morty will join popular platform fighter MultiVersus’ roster from 23rd August, but as teased overnight, two further additions will arrive during Season 1. Judging by leaked promotional artwork, these new challengers will include DC Comics antihero Black Adam and Gremlins villain Stripe. Bit of a baddie vibe, then!


Black Adam is, of course, getting a live action movie starring The Rock later this year – although his default outfit looks to be more inspired by the comic books than Dwayne Johnson. We wouldn’t be surprised if the character got some kind of Variant to give him the appearance of the ex-WWE wrestler at some point.

Stripe, meanwhile, is arguably the most famous Gremlin outside of Gizmo. He’s the main antagonist from the original 1984 movie Gremlins, but did also feature in its 1990 sequel, Gremlins 2: The New Batch. A new animated series, Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai, is set to debut in 2023 – assuming Warner Bros doesn’t pull the plug on production.


These seem like good additions to the roster to us. While we were hoping for Harry Potter and Gandalf a little earlier, we’re confident they’re still coming. At least three new characters in Season 1 alone is impressive, though, and we’re looking forward to learning more about these newcomers and their unique playstyles.
