CD Projekt Red has clarified the contents of the highly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 update. The developer has posted and detailed which significant changes will be available for free through this patch and which adjustments are part of the paid expansion titled Phantom Liberty.

Fans have been wondering if some of these improvements would be implemented before the DLC's release scheduled for September 26, and this information comes as support for the players.

The most impactful gameplay updates are scheduled for version 2.0. This includes a complete overhaul of the skill tree and the introduction of new systems for cyberware, policing, vehicle combat, and loot. Additionally, new radio stations will be incorporated through this patch.

The new district of Dogtown, with its characters, narratives, and missions, will be exclusively available to those who purchase Phantom Liberty. Vehicle missions and repeatable airdrops are also tied to the DLC, as is the new skill tree called Relic, which is closely connected to the expansion's storyline.

Furthermore, the new level cap of 60 can only be reached with the installation of Phantom Liberty.

Changes in the Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 Update

As mentioned earlier, the exact release date of the 2.0 patch has not been revealed yet, but it has been confirmed that it will be available "a little before" the release of Phantom Liberty.

CD Projekt Red has a live gameplay stream scheduled for the near future, suggesting that the update will likely be released simultaneously or in close proximity to that stream.
