Cat Me If You Can: Photograph cats and bring color back to a frozen world

The cozy game from Berlin's Cosmic Stag Games transforms a frozen Earth into a photographic puzzle — and it returns to the Mundo Gamer Showcase 2026 on Saturday, June 20th.

Official trailer of Cat Me If You Can (Cosmic Stag Games).

Picture an Earth where a mysterious event has frozen everything — and only cats remain. This forms the starting point of Cat Me If You Can, the cozy game from the German studio (based in Berlin) Cosmic Stag Games: the only way to bring color back to the world is by photographing hidden felines across black and white drawn settings, combining comic book and manga styles.

With a polaroid camera in hand, you explore 3D worlds and seek out hundreds of unique cats, each with their quirks — including His Fluffy Majesty, the King Purr-a-lot. There are no enemies or time pressure: here, the game rewards a keen eye. Many of the cats, by the way, hide behind riddles, locked doors, and contraptions, which you solve to unlock new paths and reveal even more felines. Every puzzle resolved gets you "a pawstep" closer to completing the collection.

A journey through time (in search of cats)

The adventure also spans time and space. From the sunlit sands of Ancient Egypt to the intimate streets of modern-day Japan and the silent corners of medieval castles, each destination offers a charming monochrome setting full of secrets — and each well-aimed photo restores a bit of color to the place.

"The more careful your gaze, the more hidden cats you uncover — and the more color the world regains."

This is an experience crafted for those who grew up with hidden object games as well as those seeking a tranquil escape after a long day. With the camera in hand, each capture becomes a small piece of art — and the game leans into this calm pleasure of collecting moments.
