After the closed testing phase of Street Fighter 6, fans were expecting a similar phase, with the possibility of more players participating. However, the recent announcement was only a showcase that did not necessarily reflect the content that players were expecting, such as the online mode.

Capcom has officially announced that a new beta phase of Street Fighter 6 will take place in May. The announcement was made on Twitter, showing the characters that will be available during the beta.

According to the announcement, this open beta will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC, with crossplay enabled. The beta will feature 8 fighters available: Guile, Ryu, Juri, Kimberly, Ken, Chun-Li, Jamie, and Luke.

During the open beta, conventional online modes and even ranked matches will be available. This means we can expect lobbies full of players for casual and ranked matches.

The testing phase will take place from May 19 to 21, focusing on online matches in various modes. Finally, Street Fighter 6 will be available from June 2.

With this announcement, franchise fans can rejoice at the prospect of participating in an open beta with crossplay enabled, allowing them to play against other players on different platforms. As the beta will feature online modes, including ranked matches, players can expect to have a rewarding and competitive experience.

In conclusion, Capcom's announcement of hosting an open beta for Street Fighter 6 with crossplay enabled will undoubtedly generate excitement among franchise fans. This move will not only increase player engagement, but also provide valuable feedback to developers before the game's official release.
