Activision is serving up another phase of free online play for Call of Duty: Vanguard, allowing all PSN accounts to claim and play the multiplayer portion of the game from the PlayStation Store. Available starting tomorrow, the offer extends until Tuesday, 24th May 2022. Every map and mode currently in the game will be accessible to you, but you will have to commit some time to downloading the client.

The Call of Duty blog post notes how you'll be able to check out the new Mayhem multiplayer map, which arrives as part of Season Three. "Despite the map’s tiny layout, you’ll feel absolutely gargantuan as you battle through a small-scale replica of a metropolis. Fight among the skyscrapers in the center of the map, surrounded by an outer path where you can traverse an ocean or move off-set." If you're nostalgic for Call of Duty games are old, you can also duke it out on Dome, Castle, Radar, and Shipment.

In our Call of Duty: Vanguard PS5 review, we noted how the multiplayer portion housed tons of content at launch, which has only been expanded upon since. A "robust package", we called it. You'll also be able to see what Combat Pacing is all about; a new menu option that allows you to set the sort of action you want. Intense or slow-paced: your choice.
