Bloober Team, the studio behind horror games like The Medium, Layers of Fear and Observer, is now taking care of one of the most famous IPs in the genre. The studio is developing a remake of Silent Hill 2 Remake, which was announced last year during an event for the franchise.

At the moment, the game is scheduled to come to PlayStation 5 and PC, but no release date has been revealed yet.

According to Piotr Babieno, president of Bloober Team, the development of Silent Hill 2 Remake is almost complete and the game may arrive sooner than expected. However, the decision on release date and marketing is up to Konami, the owner of the IP.

Babieno also commented on the studio's new strategy, stating that Silent Hill 2 Remake will be an evolution of the studio's gameplay style, focusing more on game mechanics and narrative, rather than just environmental storytelling.

In addition to this project, Bloober Team is currently working on another major project called Project C, which is being developed in conjunction with Private Division. The studio is also collaborating with Anshar on Layers of Fear and with Draw Distance and Rouge Games on two other undisclosed projects.

Silent Hill 2 Remake does not yet have a release date, but it is expected to be an exciting addition to the horror genre.
