Kamiya departs the studio on October 12
Hideki Kamiya, the creator of Bayonetta and vice-president of PlatinumGames, will be leaving the studio on October 12. The company announced his departure this Monday (25) and, while expressing regret, believes he will continue to succeed in his future as a game creator.
Kamiya co-founded the studio with current CEO Atsushi Inabata and former members Shinji Mikami and Tatsuya Minami.
In addition to directing Bayonetta, he also directed The Wonderful 101 and worked as the creative director on Sol Cresta.
Kamiya was directing a game tentatively titled Project GG, a new superhero IP. There is currently no information regarding the future of the project.
