A new version of Battlefield V is available now, and it includes everything from the past two years.

After two years, EA is winding down development on Battlefield V and focusing on the next-gen Battlefield game coming in 2021. For those who never played Battlefield V, EA has released a Definitive Edition of the game that comes with everything from the past two years.

Included in the $50 USD Definitive Edition for PS4, Xbox One, and PC is the base game and lots and lots of extras, including every weapon, vehicle, and gadget, along with all of the Elite characters. Numerous cosmetics are also included with the Definitive Edition, including outfits and weapon skins, as well as vehicle "dressings." You can see a full rundown of the Definitive Edition content below, as written by EA.

Unlike previous Battlefield games, all of the post-release maps for Battlefield V were free as part of EA's strategy to keep the playerbase connected, so all DLC maps are also included with the Definitive Edition.

Battlefield V Definitive Edition Includes:

  • All gameplay content – Get all the weapons, vehicles, and gadgets from launch, Year 1, and Year 2, including the devastating bazooka and lunge mine
  • All Elites – Bring personality to the battlefield with Elites such as Seamus and Ilse, featuring signature looks, personas, and melee weapons
  • 84 immersive camo variations – Enhance your WW2 sandbox with outfits such as The Sandman and The Aristocrat for the British and German armies
  • 8 soldier outfits from Year 2 – Including the Offizier and Tommy outfits
  • 2 weapon skins from Year 2 – Sport the Pacific Palm and Snake Bite weapon skins, applicable to 10 and 4 weapons respectively
  • 3 vehicle dressings – Outfit your vehicles with unique looks, like the US Sherman Flagship Flag and German Panzer IV Ready for War dressings
  • 33 Chapter Reward items from Year 1 – Score the Napalm Weapon Set and Baron von Zorn German outfit and much more.

With the launch of the Definitive Edition, EA is removing the Battlefield V Year 2 Edition. In other news, Battlefield V is celebrating Halloween with some freebies for everyone. Of note, the Definitive Edition is free for EA Play Pro subscribers on PC.

There was no new Battlefield game in 2019, but the franchise is returning in 2021 with the franchise's first release for PS5 and Xbox Series X.
