Basim, this is not a mirage

Assassin's Creed Mirage, the new chapter in the Assassin's Creed franchise, will be released worldwide on October 12th this year. The announcement was made by Ubisoft on Wednesday (24) during the PlayStation Showcase event.

In a new game trailer, we can see Basim, guided by his Hidden companions, enhancing his tools and abilities to track and eliminate his targets. Basim's unique playstyle, as one of the most agile and resourceful Assassins in the franchise's history, emphasizes stealth and deadly techniques, introducing new abilities like Assassin's Focus, which allows the player to mark and eliminate multiple opponents in sequence.

Furthermore, the gameplay video showcases a vibrant city of Baghdad, whose density and verticality offer plenty of opportunities for players to explore Basim's parkour and accomplish their objectives.

Developed by Ubisoft Bordeaux, the studio responsible for Assassin's Creed Valhalla's expansion Wrath of the Druids, Assassin's Creed Mirage is a tribute to the franchise and a particularly special homage to the first Assassin's Creed.

The game invites players to immerse themselves in a magnificent 9th-century Baghdad, at the height of its Golden Age, and offers an action-packed adventure experience, combined with a modern take on the key gameplay elements that have defined the franchise for over fifteen years. In the game, players control Basim Ibn Is'haq, a young thief with a mysterious past. He joins the Hidden Ones in Alamut in search of answers.

The protagonist's voice has been dubbed by two talented actors: Lee Madjoub for the English version and Eyad Nassar for the Arabic version, as Assassin's Creed: Mirage is the first game in the franchise to be globally released with complete Arabic localization, including text and voice. They join an incredible Mirage cast that also features Shohreh Aghdashloo, who voices Roshan, Basim's mentor in the Hidden Ones.

Assassin's Creed: Mirage is available for pre-order on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, and PC, via the Ubisoft Store and Epic Games Store.

Players can also subscribe to the Ubisoft+ subscription service to access the game at launch. Pre-orders are available in Standard, Deluxe, and Collector's Box editions.

Fans who pre-order Assassin's Creed Mirage will receive an exclusive bonus mission called The Forty Thieves at the game's release, where they will uncover the mysteries of the legendary cave of Ali Baba.
