Developer inkle has announced that the narrative adventure game A Highland Song will be released for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam on December 5th.

Developed by the creators of Heaven’s Vault and 80 Days, Highland Song features rhythm and survival elements, taking you to the Highlands.

Meet Moira McKinnon; she has lived with her mother in a small house on the edge of the Scottish Highlands for 15 years until one day, she receives a letter from her uncle Hamish inviting her to the coast.

In the Highlands, every peak has a story to tell, and every valley resonates with songs. Giants sleep, ghosts sing melodies, crows deliver messages, and eagles raise the dead.

However, the relentless slopes of the Highlands and their icy summits will make Moira's journey challenging.

Explore hills intertwined with routes full of stories, lost objects, echoes, and memories. Climb peaks to orient yourself and plan your next steps. Then, jump, slide, and leap through the valleys to the rhythm of the music.

Be prepared to undertake the journey more than once because a single trip is not enough to unravel the deepest secrets of the Highlands.

The game's soundtrack is another strong point, composed by Laurence Chapman, along with two giants of the Scottish folk scene, Talisk and Fourth Moon.

A Highland Song will be released for Nintendo Switch and PC on December 5, 2023.
